27F No luck on the apps or in person
I'm kind of a homebody + I have social anxiety, so that probably doesn't help my situation. I don't even necessarily want to be locked down or anything. I'm just open to meeting new, interesting people, going on dates, and if its feels right, then great, but I can't even get that. I get asked all the time how I'm still single. As a pretty (or so I've been told), nice, chill woman, I've had absolutely no luck on the dating apps. It's like a damn ghost town. I mean, I'll match with a bunch of guys, but it's a ghost town in the sense no one will ever actually message more than once/twice. The conversation will be cut short because they'll never respond. I'm not being dry. Whether I try to be engaging, funny, just normal, everyone ghosts. It's so discouraging. It honestly messes with my self-esteem too because I'm like, am I just not desirable? Like I said, I'm also a homebody so I don't get out a bunch so I've recently made an effort to get out more, and I was also lacking in the friend department so I've made a good amount of friends touching grass, but haven't made any potential romantic matches. I guess I'm just missing that initial excitement of having a crush, wanting someone and them wanting me back. The apps clearly aren't it. I've had no luck there, and then getting out hasn't led to anything either. People say there's pretty privilege, but I've never gotten this, especially as a more introverted person. And I'm not terribly introverted or shy, I'm just not super extroverted. Guys might look at me or speak to me nicely, but it doesn't lead to anything more. Any insight or advice is appreciated. I figured I'd ask humans because I'm sick of talking to ChatGPT about this lol
