Mycophenolate + prednisone experiences?

Hi all — first off, I feel like I’ve posted on here so many times already about ten different things 😅 guess that’s life with a changing autoimmune disease.

Anyhow, I had a repeat biopsy done recently. I’ve been on Tarpeyo+Filspari since beginning of April and haven’t seen any improvement — in fact, I have gotten worse. Biopsy was done after an acute flare in June and it showed a few crescents but none significant. For reference, my original biopsy in Oct 2025 was M0E0S0T0C0 (not sure what my exact score is now).

I haven’t gotten the actual report into my hands yet, but my doctor is now recommending mycophenolate and prednisone as the main path. He said it would be a 1 year treatment, but if no improvement after 3-6 months I can consider Voyxact.

Wondering if anyone has any experiences on this combination, especially side effects of prednisone compared to Tarpeyo. I’m guessing the prednisone dosage would be a little lower than the standard steroid-only treatment because it’s in combination with mycophenolate.
