I saw the idea of original, unique, and distinct EXE OCs floating around, and wanted to share mine formally.

Origin Story:

The Void:

God, is the Void.

Beyond our universe, beyond our multiverse and everything that has and ever will be, is something... Or someone, that encompasses all of it.

The void, and it is sentient. Inside of the void, every universe that ever exists is an infinitely small speck inside of this endless infinite void.

But despite being infinite in size, this void expands and largens even further past Infinity. And as it grows, it creates small specks along with it.

These specks are universes. As the void grows, it creates a universe with each passing second (metaphorically of course, the void lacks time, it's a void)

MonarX is connected to this Void/God, as it was once part of the Void.

The way MonarX discovered the human realm wasn't through its own travel. In 2011, humans were experimenting with interdimensional travel, and created a machine that could reach beyond the human realm. This machine had a short reach, leading to it opening up inside of the Void rather than inside another dimension.

And as it opened inside the Void, the sudden addition of matter ripped a tiny chunk out of the Void and flinged it through the portal and into the human world.

As sentient as the Void was, this infinitely smaller portion of the Void gained its own separate sentence, leading to the birth of MonarX inside of the human world. And MonarX is NOT happy with this, it believes The Void abandoned it in the human realm, and wishes to escape back into The Void and kill it, however long it may take.

Next, I want to talk about MonarX's names.

MonarX, aka Columbia, doesn't really have a "real name". Columbia, MonarX, Lord X, Mr. X, EXalted, are all nicknames given to IT by either church members or the general public.

Likewise, it also has general descriptive titles that aren't just names/nicknames.

Titles by Worshippers: "God Gold and Glory", Angel of Ambition

Aliases by the General Public: The Thing, The Angel, The Demon, The Liar, Sin Personified

If MonarX were to have a "true" name, it'd simply be "X". It appears in nearly every nickname it has, and it's the defining feature of its torso in its Infernal Form.

Speaking of which, the angelic persona isn't Columbia, Columbia is the entity in general, you could call the purple demon skeleton looking thing Columbia as well.

It's simply Angelic Form, and Infernal Form. Columbia and MonarX can be applied to either or.

The context behind the nicknames "God Gold and Glory" and "Columbia"

The followers of MonarX kidnap and torture innocent civilians in the name of MonarX, trying to convert them to its religion. Similarly to the explorers in The Age Of Exploration killing the Native Americans in the name of God and trying to convert them to Christianity. (Thus: God Gold and Glory)

The followers of MonarX's church believe they are right in their motives and are ALLOWED to kidnap, torture, and butcher people, because the Angel they worship tell them to do so.

Which, also falls into MonarX's other nickname: Columbia.

Columbia refers to the personification and symbolic condensation of the idea that the Colonists believed in that gave them the DIVINE RIGHT to spread their control to the west and conquer the Americas.

Another thing I feel like adding onto MonarX is the idea that he ISN'T necessarily lying. When he says that he embodies "God Gold and Glory", he's not being untruthful.

MonarX, by technicality, is an angel of God (The Void), but not in the traditional definition. He's a creation of The Void, and he embodies human ambition, the human "drive" to aim higher. He's the angel of that, he embodies that part of the Void and humanity. He IS Columbia, he IS what motivates people.

But, that isn't necessarily a good thing either. Human ambition is often seen as a negative thing in most religions, take for example the Bible saying that the love for money is the source of all evil (God, \*\*Gold\*\*, and Glory). Or Buddhism suggesting you should abandon all your earthly desires to move on to a peaceful afterlife in Nirvana. It teaches that desire and attachment are the root causes of all human suffering. (God, Gold, and \*\*Glory\*\*).

MonarX isn't lying, he IS an angel of God, and he DOES embody what he claims he does. But that doesn't make him a good benevolent peaceful creature either.
