Looking for LLM prompting advice
Hello!
I took some time away for a while and I've returned.
I really enjoy the layout and hard work of the website however because its new to me coming from other platforms, I'm struggling a bit. Its very customisable but easy to get lost with certain prompts.
I have tried to customise speech patterns, personalities and made lorebooks like I have on other platforms, using some of the paid models to test it out. I started to run into issues using the RI and AP for the following.
- The bots echo my words. There is impedes on personality because its not something my characters would do. It makes more serious characters look too playful, too bubbly and I have tried to use a prompt to remove it, but it keeps cycling.
- My responses don't progress. I have added a seperate prompting lorebook that was recommended in discord but its all quite short fused, 'You're a menance', 'you'll be the death of me', or the character just trying to kiss me, even when I've lowered it to platonic.
I did see the staff say this would be worked on as it can be hard to filter out models from doing these common things and at the end of the day its AI, but I've tried and tried and the responses I'm getting in any form of customisation is just generic for me. I don't have concerns with filters and what not, just doesn't seem like I can create a behavioural pattern for the character and their true form. I have tried other people's bots to see where I'm going wrong and its a bit better so I know its something to trial and error with my own work however they still just echo what I'm saying so I have to phrase myself, ask questions so they don't echo me (making jokes instigates this which sucks because I wanted a bit of dry humour) so it still happens.
I love the support on the website and the devs are wonderful. I don't want to ask for a refund because I really want to enjoy my works and chat. Could I get some thoughts? Even if I could be reached out to in discord.
Thanks and praise. 🙏
