How do you not get sensory overload?

How in the everliving fuck do you not have sensory overload while playing this game? I have Yapyap alter and while she is cool, I am not seeing shit while she attacks. I press a button she does insane, admittetely beautiful animations, which cover the whole screen and she jumps and down during that as well. Tried trials of the other characters and they are the same. And funnily enough I dont swap characters that much during combat, so does come in later as well. How the hell do you see what the enemy is doing while you dont even see yourself. Dont get me wrong, I actually like the game but my god I want to see the screen and enemy moves while attacking.
