AITA for blowing off someone I've been talking to on Facebook from the neighborhood
Basically there is this outside cat who ping pongs between houses, and it turns out I found out on the local town FB page who it was. I am a guy, and this person is a woman. Anyway, I have started to get weird vibes but I don't know if I'm the asshole, but here goes. She messaged me about him and well, every now and then we message each other to find out where he is because he goes missing for days at a time. It's quite a weird situation I guess. Been going on for about 2 months now. Fast forward to the last 2 weeks. Well, this person seems to constantly message me almost every day now, talking about cats, sending me photos of cats, but every now and then she will ask what my house number is, and I never give it.
I am married with my own family, but she sends me photos of her cats and the mutual cat that comes to out house, but the pictures I felt were weird. Basically pictures of her lower legs laying in bed with cats next to her, just her legs. Harmless I guess, but gave me a weird vibe. Then pictures of her standing next to cats with her feet showing. It just..it felt weird to me.. but not that weird. Until tonight.
She messaged me earlier asking if I could cut some wood for her so she could build a cat house. We have never met, we don't know each others address, etc. I said I won't make any promises, but she said her fiancé can't do it because he's injured. Ok, so I said if I could I would go over to her house and cut the wood quickly for her, but then stuff got so frigging weird.
We were messaging about it, I was asking her about what type of wood she has, etc, then we talked about the cat, then out of the blue she messages me saying her cat got out and she's walking down the street. She messaged me that "I am walking, looking for my cat. I am in pain. What's your address? I am on your street"
This is 1 am in the morning. I just got super frigging weirded out. I messaged her back that she should go home and call for her cat.
Then she called me on facebook messenger, audio.
I answered, and things just...they felt really frigging weird. Her voice, her helpless victim act, about oh I can't find my cat, where are you? What's your address? Then I told her she should go home, and that I am going to bed. Her voice was very, how to put it, flirtatious but in a monotone sort of way. Lots of weird groaning and stuff, it was weird. Like pain groaning but like, not? And I asked her, why would you go out for a walk looking for your cat and head in the direction of the street I live at?
And then she said, she doesn't like to be alone and go home and sleep alone, but her fiancé is supposed to be there? And I frigging. AITA for telling her to go home even though she said "I am in pain, I can hardly walk" then immediately after "What is your address, I am on your street" ...
