Regina saved "john doe" (charming)

Doing a rewatch. Regina says she's John Doe's emergency contact because she was the one who found him on the side of the road unconscious and got him to a hospital (presumably right after she enacted the curse). She clearly would have known who he was. She could have just let him die there. But she saves him. I guess so that she can watch him be in a coma and have Mary Margaret not know that her true love is, that he's right there but unreachable?

Of course there would be no show if she just let him die. It's just funny thinking about her finding him and being like "ugh i guess i'll get him to a hospital otherwise this curse will be less fun if he dies"
