Primordial Dawn... Harbinger of Light...The beacon of Beginnings...

Miriam opened her eyes silently in the middle of night, as if someone had sweetly whispered into her ears the melody of nightmares.

The entire room was shaded in darkness and an eerie scarlet light was seeping into the room through the curtains.

And in front of that very scarlet was a man, sitting on her study, scribbling things in a diary. His eyes as if glowing with fanatic disbelief — in a shade she imagined herself in, when she used to wake up in the nights listening to that 'incessant ravings' caused by the 'curse' of her lineage.

...

When I woke up from my slumber, the sun was already high in the sky.

I looked around and seeing noone in the room, with practiced steps slid onto the chair placed in front of the study.

Gently, I pulled the diary out of the drawer.

For the past weak or so, it had become but a routine for me to check the diary for things I might have written unconsciously for my own understandings. And surely, my grasp over basics have become quite clear.

Be it — The Routes of Da'ush ( Pathway to divine), Edicts(sequences) and even the fact that...

Routes are basically 'stories' and edicts - 'roles' provided within that story, so one must 'act' accordingly to grasp the concept of that role.

Although there is a lot that is not within my understanding, but I believe as time passes and the available information grows... everything will make sense.

I started to read.

The first night...

Why does these words come to my mind whenever I think about what to write? As if some strange power is coercing me to write it, Or rather, my own sub-conscience is.

But what exactly is this First Night?

The First Night...the Thousand and First Night? Wait...no, something is wrong.

Hmmm, I remember not what exactly it is, but I do recall something that might have been related after this snippet of inspiration. 'That' entity had once claimed to me in melancholy -

“First Night was a charming lady...”

I couldn't understand what 'It' meant and so I asked - “What First Night?”

He looked at me in irrate and startled disbelief - “ha!? What First Night? Do you not even remember what you have eaten?”

What I have...eaten? What does that mean?]

My brows furrowed reading it. It seemed the extent of my knowing was much more than I originally believed.

My heart was full of anxiety but I took a deep breath to calm my emotions. There was no point stressing about it for now. I knew too little.

And as I was about to go downstairs for freshening up and having my breakfast, my eyes tingled and I gazed past the window.

My pupils dilated, and amidst the colourful visages of people going about their own business, there was one that stood still. Hidden in the alley beside the bakery in front of the house.

He occasionally glanced towards the house and then hid behind the wall.

Most importantly, there was this strange tinge of magenta coloring his entire being.

And as did the last time, my vision zoomed in on the files he was carrying in his hand, of which was one particular research paper that stuck out. On the top of it were written words —

'The detailed analysis of the Sprouts of the Mother tree.'

—The Flora Enthusiasts.

...

Miriam quietly walked towards the bedroom after serving Norris his breakfast. Her steps quite, her heart banging against her chest.

She walked closer to the study and hesitated for a moment before pulling the diary out of the drawer. It was the same diary Norris would read every morning.

And then with heaviness in her eyes, she snapped it open. But strangely, all that was written was in a language she understood not. Or rather, it seemed as if...it was never meant to be something.

Like in dreams, written words made no sense — they did not here as well.

She sighed and was about to place it back in its place, when she caught sight of a single segment she was able to read.

Her eyes hovered over the words and she froze.

[....

'It' spoke -

“When all comes to naught, I am but a mere remnant of a story. It all changed after the thousand and first Cycle...all comes to an end. Even times does. Of the rings...cycle is the eldest and the circle is the closest. Inevitablity, huh?... laughable. Truly laughable!

Thanks for reading!
