Coming back to pokemon go: Gyms feel extremely lackluster

You telling me that I farmed +11 gyms yesterday, and I can only get 50 coins a day??? You telling me holding down a gym for +6 days equals the same as holding down a gym for 1 day???? And atop of that you can only get 50 coins a day so if multiple get knocked out all that work doesn't matter????? Isnt the whole point of that game to holding and contest these points against your rival gangs, thought I would farm gyms to get remote passes to actually interact with people in the game, ig not, nope pay to play. Really killed my motivation for playing the game, like there is nothing rewarding to build up too. Idk imma just farm for XXL mons for my Pokémon champions, seeing how pokego is just a catching simulator now.
