Obligatory "I'm loving both the people who understand the ship and the ship itself". This IS a Soulpost.

I love this ship so fucking much. It's amazing commentary for another way in which we interact with fiction: fictophilia, or falling in love with a fictional character. Deltarune addresses this question by having the character become aware of the attention she's being given. Fictophilia is a thing that gets too much flak nowadays. The ship has romantic elements like the natural obstacle of Noelle and the player being part of different worlds and interacting in such a unique way (with the Gaster subplot implying that the world of Deltarune isn't a game, but an existing world that we merely connect to). How they provide each other an escape from their own reality. The reveal and catharsis that Noelle secretly wanted all of this. The way it's [effectively canon](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1c6x-oYET3ztbU3QbZ1FJ9Qs61bty27XUY4Ha-r9Gbbw/edit?usp=sharing) while still allowing for different interpretations. There's more to it than just lust, but even that is a valid element, because it's fiction. The art is amazing and ranges from wholesome to deranged to OOZING with aura. And the people who understand the ship are ironically so open-minded and really seem to be able to understand Noelle's struggles more. This ship doesn't hurt Kris's character, it amplifies it, adding to their tragedy the figurative death of the person they thought Noelle was.
