What do you guys think about abolishing caste?

The most common response against removing reservation is that abolish casteism first. So let's start with it.

We can stop asking for caste details in schools, colleges and govt jobs.

The welfare schemes and other benefits can be given to the people on the basis of their income.

I know we already have laws to protect any kind of discrimination but we can make enforcement of it stronger, just as we did for abolishing practices like Sati, child marriage and untouchability.

You could argue that it is still practised in certain areas but the quantum has reduced significantly. Same would be the case for caste based discrimination as well.
