Photo on resume?

I haven’t submitted a resume in 11 years. Is it the done thing now to include a photo of yourself? I’ve seen resumes come through at my old job from people younger than me (not necessarily a lot younger) with a photo included.

I’m not really comfortable with this, does it make a difference at all?
