I’m watching the show say nothing. Can anyone explain why Dolours Price felt personally betrayed by Gerry Adams
I understand that Dolours Price felt personally betrayed by Gerry Adams by him denying being involved in the IRA because it made her feel like she had to carry the weight of the past alone when he was the one who ordered her to do everything she did. I get she spent time in prison and probably had guilt later in life about some of the things she did. I get that she probably felt pushed aside by Jerry.
BUT I also don’t actually understand how she can be mad that he publicly denies being involved considering it was supposed to be a secret organization and they were all told to deny their involvement. I’m a bit confused why she’s angry at him for not publicly admitting that. That was their main rule, not to admit to being involved. And considering he moved into politics to help stop the terror it would make sense that he would want to deny his involvement to the public.
