I have adopted this little fellow, who I was told was about 3 months old (I have no idea how accurate that is), and bought a bunch of supplies thinking "I'll go from here." Got home to realize the $75 20 gal. long tank I bought was totally inadequate. First move was to replace it with a 160 qt tote and sob over the wasted money. Not as big as I'd like, but still, a vast improvement. I filled it with white paper, tried to make decorations myself, and realized that I'm horribly impatient at arts and crafts. This was his home for a week before finally, after ordering some brown paper, sandbox, and some other bits off of Amazon, I've hit the final major change for little Albrecht for now. My final regret is the wheel, as it seems the 8 inch is a bit too small for the Syrian lad. It's a shame the 10 inchers are so expensive, but it is on the list. I also made him a sizeable dig box with coconut substrate...I, uh, forgot to make space for it and don't know what to do with it now. Woops.

As expected, after exploring his new realm, he has climbed to his hilltop estate, burrowed below like he did in the white paper setup, and has found a cozy space at the bottom-right of the tote next to the wheel where I can't see nor disturb him. If his schedule remains the same, I eagerly await to witness him on his surface ventures at 10-11pm and whatever time he picks in the AM that ensures I'm almost certainly not awake to see him. I told him I understood. If a friend bought me a house, but kept popping over to change my floor plan weekly, I would also be disturbed. At least he still takes food from my hand, though.
