What I’d ask before booking a skin clinic in Seoul as a foreigner
If you’re planning to get skin treatments in Seoul, I wouldn’t start by asking “which clinic is cheapest?”
I’d ask these questions first:
-
Who performs the consultation — a doctor or a coordinator?
-
Who performs the actual treatment?
-
Will I receive a written treatment plan before deciding?
-
Is pricing clearly explained before treatment?
-
Are international patients charged the same standard?
-
What happens if the doctor thinks I don’t need the treatment I asked for?
-
Is English or Chinese support available during consultation?
-
How many days should I stay in Seoul after treatment?
-
Can I contact the clinic after flying home?
-
What side effects are normal, and what symptoms should I not ignore?
For treatments like Ultherapy, Thermage, Botox or fillers, I’d also ask:
- Is my concern caused by sagging, fat, muscle, volume loss or skin quality?
- Which areas should be treated conservatively?
- Are there areas I should avoid treating?
A good Seoul clinic shouldn’t just tell you what you can do.
They should help you understand what you actually need — and what you may not need.
