Replace broken am4 motherboard or upgrade to am5
Hi all, Yesterday my pc stopped giving any input to my monitor or my peripherals. After some troubleshooting and swapping out some parts for testing purposes, I deducted the most likely issue to be the motherboard.
My current system is: Cpu: Ryzen 5 2600x Mobo: msi x470 gaming plus Gpu: Nvidia RTX2070 RAM: 16Gb Corsair vengeance DDR4
Now I know my system is getting old so I'm kind of torn between two directions, either just replace my current am4 motherboard with a new (or second-hand) one, or upgrade to an am5 system.
My budget isn't huge at the moment so I'm a bit reluctant to do the am5 upgrade since I'll have to get new RAM as well... And that will pump up the price of an upgrade quite a bit.
What do you guys think? I'm looking for a bit of advice.
