20M 19F - Is this a normal level of friendliness, or am I reading too much into it?

Dating Advice

I'm a 20M in my fourth year of college, and she's a 19F in her third year at the same college.

We first started talking during the summer break because I had a question about a Telegram group for one of our courses. After chatting for a while, she asked for my Instagram, and we've been talking there ever since.

At first, we mostly sent each other reels and talked casually. Since college reopened, she's started sending me random updates from her day. For example, she'll send me a picture while walking back from class in the evening or message me about random things that happen during the day.

A couple of days ago, around 12:30 a.m., she sent me a short video of her wrist with the caption, "Look how small my wrist is." It wasn't related to anything we were discussing, and it caught me off guard because it seemed like a pretty random thing to send.

We talk regularly, and I enjoy talking to her. I'm just not very experienced when it comes to this kind of situation, so I'm unsure how to interpret it.

I'm not asking whether she definitely likes me, because I know nobody here can know that. I'm more interested in understanding whether this kind of communication—random updates, photos, videos, and sharing little moments throughout the day—is something people commonly do with friends they're comfortable with, or if it usually suggests they're trying to build a closer connection.

I don't want to make assumptions or misread the situation. From your perspective, should I just continue talking to her normally and see where things go, or does this seem like a situation where I should consider asking her out if things continue in the same direction?
