Water circulation issues in my aquascape, thinking of getting a filter upgrade

Hi, I have water circulation issues in my 60x30x36cm aquascape, Im currently using a Fluval AC30 and Aqua One 100w heater but there is some dead spots in my tank, and I dont like the look of all the equipment, I am thinking of upgrading to the Oase Filtosmart Thermo 100 canister filter, anything I should know?
