Is there some weird algorithm or am I genuinely improving?

Chess Question

So I was plateauing at 1000 elo. I took break and quit.

I came back, watched a video or two from Daniel Naroditsky and decided to make a new account and I’ve already reached 1100 on it.

However, my opponents seem genuinely brain dead. I’m not sure if having time off and watching a video helped me improve but I’m spotting so many obvious blunders now. It’s quite hilarious how people at this level play. But I can’t tell if they’re bad and it’s an algorithm by chess.com to keep players playing or if I’m genuinely making improvements.

TDLR does chess.com inflate ratings to keep new players on the app or did I genuinely improve.
