Do you use e2e testing for your Wordpress projects ?
Curious how many of you actually run end-to-end tests on WordPress sites (with Playwright, Cypress, or anything else), and what your experience looks like.
I'm mostly asking because WordPress feels like an awkward fit for e2e testing compared to a typical SPA/JS app: dynamic content, plugins that inject random markup, wp-admin flows, DB state to reset between runs, etc.
If you do test:
- What do you test, checkout flows, forms, admin actions, just critical paths?
- How do you handle test data / resetting the DB between runs?
- Any pain points that make you want to give up on it?
If you don't test:
- Is it a "not worth the effort" thing, or more "didn't know where to start"?
Trying to get a sense of where the real friction is, so genuinely interested in both the "it works great for us" and the "we tried and gave up" stories.
