Tamad na Recruiter or Lack of Standardization? Why Do Recruiters in the Same Company Have Different Standards?

Just a random thought.

Why is it that one company can have several recruiters, yet they seem to evaluate applicants so differently?

For example, I apply for a role, and the recruiter assigned to that job posting views and even downloads my resume, but I never hear from them. No email, no phone call, nothing.

Then, a few days or weeks later, another recruiter posts the exact same role. They also view and download my resume, but this time they actually reach out and invite me for an interview.

It makes me wonder, why are the standards so different from one recruiter to another?

I understand that recruiters have different screening styles, levels of experience, hiring managers, and workloads. Some may genuinely be more proactive and have a better eye for identifying strong candidates, while others may be overwhelmed with the number of applications they handle.

But sometimes, you also can’t help but wonder, are some recruiters just lazy? Are they not taking enough time to properly review applicants, or are they simply relying on quick screening methods instead of looking deeper into a candidate’s background and potential?

Of course, there could be many reasons behind it. They might be busy, handling too many roles, or following different hiring priorities. But it’s still interesting how the exact same resume can receive completely different outcomes depending on who reviews it.

One recruiter might overlook your application, while another sees your potential and immediately schedules an interview.

It really shows that recruitment is not always a perfectly standardized process. Sometimes, timing and the person handling your application can influence your chances just as much as your qualifications.

Has anyone else experienced this? Curious to hear your thoughts.
