Anyone else feeling the apathy for Marathon seeping in?

I am caring less and less to see if the Marathon can make a turnaround since it is becoming clearer that they probably can't flip the game like they need to in time. Season 3 starts September 22. We have 55 more days until then. Unless I am missing something, this is the big thing they had planned for Season 2 and nothing else was mentioned that would be of that same significance.

Like what is there for August?? Nothing???? We'll be sub 5K long before Season 3 if that is the case.

I'm just lost in what is the ultimate goal for the Marathon team at this point besides seeing how they can fit PVE in it without ruining the game.
