How do you accept being wrong?

Question

Every time I am wrong about something, whether it is with other people or alone, I am filled with an overwhelming feeling of shame and internal rage aimed at myself, and sometimes at present people as well, as they are now witnesses.

There are times where I would rather not do something or where I discard a train of thought, because I know it might likely lead to me being very much wrong on some matter. (the obvious indirect admission that my belief/knowledge might not be as irontight as I thought is not lost on me at all, I'm just very good at ignoring it),

This is both extremely uncomfortable and (probably) wrong (pun not initially intended) on multiple levels, so I've been thinking about it much recently.
