The level of hype for Spider-Man: Brand New Day is comparable to The Dark Knight Rises (domestically)
Now, before you call me crazy, let me break it down for you.
Both Brand New Day and The Dark Knight Rises are similar in that they are sequels to juggernaut mega-hits (No Way Home / The Dark Knight) and are both normal, non multiverse solo movies.
The Dark Knight Rises OW of $160M back in 2012 (without 3D, so it had a lower ATP than something lik The Avengers from the same year) had around ~20.1M admissions according to u/AgentCooper315 who is the admissions expert. However, this was with a mass shooting which scared off movie-goers and reduced the opening weekend out of a fear of copycats. Of course, we do not know exactly what the opening weekend would've been without the shooting, but you'd be obtuse to pretend that it didn't significantly reduce what it ended up doing. Projections had this at like $190M+ before the shooting stifled momentum. Let's say, if the shooting didn't happen, it would have opened to $200M*, which is ~25M admissions (*, yes I know, this is just an arbitrary guess, but like there truly isn't a way we know what it would've done without the shooting, so any guess is gonna be arbitrary).
I asked u/AgentCooper315 (the admissions, ATP expert) what Brand New Day's ATP will be and he said $13.38 (a little lower because of no IMAX). 25M * $13.38 is $335M. Believe it or not, but this actually seems around what Brand New Day will open to based on tracking on Box Office Theory.
In my opinion, Spider-Man hype at his peak (current Tom Holland Spider-Man) is similar to Batman hype at his peak (Christopher Nolan Batman). However, if you compare current Spider-Man hype to current Batman hype it's not even close. The Batman 2 won't even open to half of Brand New Day.
FYI: Before anybody accuses me, no I am not a "DC fanboy." Current DC is ass-cheeks but Nolan Batman is still god. TDK > every other CBM.
