[Self-Promo] [Original Webnovel / One-Shot] I was the supreme healer and hero, but after being betrayed by my beloved, I reincarnated on Earth to conquer high schools
Hello everyone! I'm sharing a pilot one-shot I wrote. It's an inverted isekai blending modern urban fantasy, revenge, and high school delinquent dynamics (battle shonen style).
I'm looking for honest feedback and opinions to see if it's worth expanding into a full webnovel. I hope you enjoy the dynamic!

# One-Shot: The Awakening of the Ex-Hero on the Asphalt
The pain wasn't a sudden flash; it was a slow, heavy drag, like dragging iron chains over bare skin.
Ren opened his eyes, but there were no marble ceilings, no golden altars, and no weeping priestesses chanting prayers for the fallen savior. There was only the blinding glare of fluorescent lights buzzing overhead, the faint, chemical smell of cheap floor wax, and the muffled murmur of dozens of teenagers whispering in the hallways.
He sat up abruptly. His body felt lighter, smaller. The calloused hands hardened by a thousand legendary battles were gone; in their place were the smooth, slender fingers of a modern teenager.
"What...?"
A cold voice echoed inside his mind, mechanical and emotionless, like a system notification popping up on glass:
> *[System synchronization complete.]*
> *[Host: Ren Takahashi (Reincarnated).]*
> *[Previous Class: Supreme Sanative Healer / Hero of the Aquarian Realm.]*
> *[Current Status: Earth, Sector 4. Level reset due to dimensional transition.]*
> *[Special Restriction: Divine Seal active. 95% of divine magic locked behind a spiritual ring.]*
Ren clenched his fists. He remembered the betrayal. He remembered the soft, deceitful whisper of the princess he had laid his life on the line to protect, right before the poisoned blade pierced his heart. They wanted the glory; they wanted the throne. They forgot that the one who holds the power over life and death can also orchestrate the ultimate downfall.
"You wanted me dead," Ren muttered, a cold, humorless smile touching his lips. "So I died. But I didn't return to the soil. I woke up in your miserable little modern playground."
"Hey, new guy! Are you deaf or what?"
A sudden shadow blocked the light above him. Ren raised his gaze, unfazed.
Standing right beside his desk was Rin, the undisputed queen of the school’s second-year delinquents. Vibrant, dyed hair tied in a messy high ponytail, multiple silver ear cuffs catching the dim light, and a posture that screamed she owned the entire floor. In her right hand, she casually tapped a wooden bokken against her thigh, keeping a rhythmic, threatening beat.
"You're sitting in my seat," Rin said, her sharp crimson eyes narrowing as she looked down at him with a mixture of amusement and open hostility. "And you didn't even pay the "protection tax" to walk these halls. Are you stupid, or just suicidal?"
The classroom went dead silent. Everyone expected the new kid to cower, tremble, or apologize profusely, just like every other transfer student.
Instead, Ren just stared at her. His eyes—devoid of fear, carrying the heavy, chilling weight of someone who had slaughtered armies of mythical beasts—locked directly onto hers.
For a split second, Rin flinched. A strange, primal shiver ran down her spine, making her grip the wooden sword a little tighter. *What the hell is up with this guy's eyes?* she thought.
Ren slowly leaned back in his chair, crossed his legs, and let out a quiet, dangerous chuckle. The ring on his finger pulsed with a faint, crimson gleam.
"Tax?" Ren whispered, his voice smooth and laced with a terrifying calm. "Sweetheart... where I come from, people used to kneel just to breathe the air near me. Let's make a deal: you show me how things work in this school, and I'll show you how a real war is fought."
Rin blinked, completely taken aback, before a wide, fierce grin spread across her face.
From the back of the classroom, watching everything through the window of the empty rooftop, a mysterious observer adjusted their glasses, watching the spark catch fire.
*This is going to be very, very interesting.*
