Am I wrong for calling my friends mom a bitch in front of both of them

Ok so a while back my friend, we’ll call him Matteo, was fighting over the phone with a bunch of my friends on my birthday, he wasn’t there because we were kind of mad at each other at the time.

It was lowkey ruining my birthday because instead of having fun my friends were arguing up stairs and i didnt even know why.

So i went up stairs to see what was going on and my friends filled me in and said he was making fun of my friend taylor’s little sister for being autistic. So i took the phone to talk to Matteo because I was getting irritated and started cussing at him and said “listen I dont know what the fuck is going on but, you need to leave taylor and her sister tf alone.” That wasnt word for word but thats along the lines of what i said. I will admit i was being a little agressive because I was irritated.

i gave the phone back to taylor and the other girls but then they told me to come back because Matteo wanted to tell me something so I came back and he was saying “my moms listening and she said your just a bitch.” So I said, “ well, your moms a bitch and I dont give a fuck if she thinks im a bitch, shes the one calling a little girl a bitch at her big age(I was 14 at the time).” And everyone even the girls at my party looked all flabbergasted and shit because I just called his mom a bitch but im not gonna be disrespected like that. I would never talk to elders like that but she was being disrespectful and i didnt even know her like that.

Time passed since then and me and him are friends now, because it turns out those girls were lying out their ass and he never said that stuff about taylors little sister. Not to mention they were js bad friends in general.

The only problem is, Matteo always brings up how i called his mom a bitch, and when his does he says it in front of other people, he doesn’t say it like hes mad about it or anything, but he literally gives no context to the situation and it makes me look disrespectful in other people’s eyes, because they dont know the context of why i said it.
