A new problem

I play on Switch 2. Quite often, when I try to send my character back to the Valley after being in one of the expansions, the game will crash. I’ll restart and send my character straight to the Valley and that will always work. TODAY however, I’ve finished leveling up all the Honeyglow Woods characters in preparation for the new update- have tried to send my character back to the valley and it crashes. Tried my restart trick - nope - crashes. I can travel to any of the expansions but can’t get back to the valley at all without crashing. I checked for corrupt data and everything is fine. The game is now going to be completely useless to me if I can’t get back to the valley.
