Spiritual growth and carrying your cross
Hello priests of Reddit, I’ve decided to post here to see what advice can be given to me regarding my situation. I struggle with dissociative identity disorder, and not all of my parts are Catholic or want to live a holy life. I’ll leave most things regarding my condition to my therapist but for the priests I do wish to ask: are there are devotions or sacramentals you’d recommend to develop a deeper love for Christ? While my other parts may not be Catholic, I am and want to be close with my God. I mainly want to grow in trust, trust that the Lord has a plan for me and has given me this cross for a reason. I’d also like something to quickly come back to when I return to my normal self. Often times other parts will do sinful things as they do not believe in God or the notion of sin. However when those moments pass and I come back to my normal self, I wonder what I can do to quickly go back into the spiritual life and to grow in Christ. If there’s any spiritual practices, devotions, novenas or sacramentals you’d recommend for this situation, I’d highly appreciate it if you let me know in the replies. Thank you priests of Reddit for being for your work and spiritual guidance.
