Will we hear a testimony from David?
I want to preface this by saying that my understanding of the American judicial system is minimal, so apologies if this seems obvious.
But I’m wondering, is there a potential that we will ever hear anything from David especially considering he is pleading not guilty? In my country(Aus), generally the defendant would have the opportunity to speak as a witness and then be cross examined by the prosecution and defence, and given how he has pushed for such an expedient approach to this case I’m wondering if he has the audacity to think he can schmooze over the jury.
OR
if in the unlikely opportunity he is offered any leniency, say in the instance of surrendering the murder weapon, do you think he would offer any sort of confession or show a semblance or remorse (even if just to get leniency in the eyes of the law?)?
Obviously the guy is a certified psycho so anything is to be expected, but wondering is anyone has more insight into what the next steps might look like, thanks.
