Need some serious career advice

I just obtained my master’s in general engineering in France, I found out during a one year apprenticeship that a typical 9-5 (more like 7-6) is not for me, I grew up internationally so speak fluent French English and good Chinese and Italian. The thing is I have a great social life and have a great job with great freedom (civil engineer in heritage renovation) but I’m just unhappy, I work long hours to barely make any money (around 1.9k euros so I can barely save 500 a month after expenses if I really hold back on spending). I wake up and don’t want to go to work, and the pay for engineers in France is just so so bad.

I’m just looking for a job that pays well where I can travel and meet new people while having good responsibilities. I mean it’s a lot to ask but it must exist right?

That’s why I’ve been looking into the yachting industry, and would want to work my way up into becoming a captain, a lot of people told me to take the yacht engineer route but the idea of working in an engine room makes me sick, and have heard a lot of negative sides about this industry too which kinda worries me.

Any advice as to if this is the right path to take or if there are any other paths I could consider?
