Spotify’s “artificial streaming” detection is a fucking fraud; Meta ads get my streams removed, then the track gets pulled a month later
I’m done. Same pattern keeps happening and it’s destroying any momentum I build.
I run Meta ads on a track. Streams go up. Spotify removes a huge chunk of those streams as “artificial.” Fine, whatever. I stop the ads. Streams drop. Then about a month later the whole track gets pulled. Every single time.
When it gets pulled I lose every playlist placement it had (over 500 on the last one). Catalog tanks. Monthly listeners tank. Everything I built goes to zero and has to slowly climb back if I’m even allowed to re-upload.
I am not using bots. I am not buying fake streams. I am paying Meta for real ads that drive real people to the song. Spotify’s system can’t tell the difference (or doesn’t care) and my distributor just removes the track once they get the report so they don’t get hit with the penalty fees.
This has happened multiple times now. The moment a song starts actually moving they fuck it up. I’m not the only one this is happening to either.Anyone else stuck in this exact cycle?
