Questions about IR editing and filters
I had a M43 camera a while ago I had converted but ended up selling it. Back again with a Sony a6000 and want to make sure I give this a better shot this time around. I have a few random questions:
-
There seems to be a bunch of options for the AeroChrome style, is there one that's considered "best"? I know the Kolari seems to be fairly popular, but I feel like it it was the best option people wouldn't be looking at other options.

I have LrC and LR Mobile, but looking at options for channel swapping that don't require PS. I would consider buying DXO, but I know Darktable is a free option. Is there stuff the DXO offers that DT just isn't capable of? If so, which version of DXO would I want?

Last time I was shooting I couldn't quite get the deeper red colors for the aerochrome look, but I'm not great at editing photos either. What is usually done to deepen the red or make the foliage that comes out more orange into a red color?

Would a CPL or other non-IR type filters help with any of these looks? Like I know a CPL helps with E100 when shooting film for getting a better sky. I think I saw someone on YT also mention stacking a CPL+R72 when shooting Rollei IR 400 for better skies, so wasn't sure if that also helps with digital.

I've taken a look around and can't find anything, but is there a more IR photography related discord around?
Thanks!
