Factory owners & energy managers: Need your opinion on electricity cost optimization

Hi everyone,

We are currently doing a small industry survey to understand how manufacturing units are managing their electricity costs, especially around peak demand charges, load management, and energy usage patterns.

A lot of industrial plants have dedicated transformers and stable electrical setups, but we are trying to understand one question:

Are factories unknowingly paying extra because of peak demand spikes or high-cost grid usage during certain hours?

Some things we are trying to learn:

• Do you actively monitor your maximum demand (MD) charges every month?
• Have you ever faced unexpected penalties because your demand crossed your contracted limit?
• Do evening/night shifts significantly increase your electricity costs?
• Are you currently using any battery storage, energy management system, or automation solution?
• What is the biggest challenge you face while reducing electricity expenses?

We are not selling anything here. We are only trying to understand the real problems faced by industries before building anything around it.

Would love to hear from:

  • Factory owners
  • Plant managers
  • Electrical engineers
  • Energy consultants

What are the biggest electricity-related challenges you face in your plant?
