Windows Defender detected an extreme threat when I ran the RDR2 setup.exe file

Hi pc gamers,

I downloaded an RDR2 from FitGirl, but when I tried to run the setup.exe file, Windows Defender immediately detected it as an extreme/severe threat and blocked it.

I'm not looking for ways to bypass Defender. I just want to know:

- Has anyone experienced this before?

- Could this be a false positive, or should I assume the installer is unsafe?

- - What's the safest way to verify whether the file is actually malicious?

I haven't disabled Defender or proceeded with the installation. Pls help me 🙏
