When a priest leaves the church a year after ordination does that say something about the discernment that he was given?
I know someone who was a priest and not even a year later he called it quits. Now a year after that (so two years after he left priesthood) he got married to the lady he left the priesthood for. How is this acceptable? I don’t mean to come off as judgemental but I am tired of hearing such stories. Him leaving the priesthood is equally bad to if a parent just called it quits and left their children right? A parent can easily say I’m tired and can’t handle it but we made a promise and vow in the church and we do our best to follow through. I find him to be a lightweight. Yes, I know I’m making judgement but I have seen too many people turn away from church because of people like him. With all due respect to everyone. It also says a lot about the type of discernment he was given.
