Is a second master weird in my situation?
Hi!
I 26F have a bachelor degree in Informatics and telecommunications and a master degree in computer science.
I do have some work experiences like 3 month erasmus internship, 7 months full time in as a junior backend developer and a 6 month internship again that i did during my master as a performance and compiler engineer.
The problem is that I'm dealing with depression and anxiety from my bachelor and it got worse when i started my master that it was remotely, and also at that time i moved in Germany. It was so bad that i did an awful performance in my 6 month internship, i took a huge break, started antidepressants and i ended uo finishing my master in 2.5 years instead of 1.5 years. (i know the rules says to not talk about depression but i think is important to mention it for my situation)
i haven't worked on my field since my last internship in 2024.
Now im trying to find a job in Germany (i already live here 2 years) with my b1 level in German. After the graduation this march, i applied to 17 positions, i did 5 interviews and i only passed to one interview to the 2nd round. Everytime i have an interview I feel so anxious and scared and i feel that i have lost all my skills or something, especially since i did an awful performance during my master and not so good at my full time too. during my bachelor i was a very good student and had so much confident and always did extra more challenging things to all my projects but after the depression hit i just feel as if im not the same anymore.
im wondering if i go again to uni again but this time in Germany and visiting the uni, socialize with the students and teachers and remind myseld that im capable + the chance that I might find a werkstudent or something will work? i mean, my cv is working but i just can't prove to them that im the right fit due to fear and low confident and anxiety.
i know another option is to focus seriously on my skills and improve alone.. but i really don't know what to do know. I have a master in computer science which i tried to focus in compilers so maybe i can just say that i wanted to change a field or something? idk.. what do you guys believe? has anyone felt the same? if yes, what did you ended up do?
thanks!
