Does anyone else find private "transfers" in Colorado to be very restricting?

General Question

I just think it's extremely discriminatory. If you need to make money (while getting rid of property you own).

For example, If I wanted to sell my car, used, why would I need to involve the dealership (whom I also did not even purchase from), and involve them so they can "transfer" the car for me? (also requiring paint in the ass meet up transactions, and giving them whatever transfer fee they require.

Now, sure, may of you have never transferred used 2a before, but some people do. And it's just jumping through hoops for people who want to do their own "transfer". If anything, why not let the seller do the bg check themselves...

I have heard this since I've lived here "Just take it to a shop and sell it to them/ have them sell it for you"... No, I do not want to be gouged and lowballed., at the very least forced to choose that as an option.
