DC airport experience
I'm in a Washington DC airport waiting for a flight and would like to use the loo before boarding but I'm scared. This is the first time in years (I haven't left my home state in a while)
Unfortunately I got lost in the airport, fortunately my flight boards in less than 10 minutes. I'm also thirsty AF but idk if I can bring drinks on the plane. 😞
I am on a return trip and on my way here TSA did not look twice at me. Today they hesitated after the scan (same type they used before). Clumsily asked if I was born male and (the man) said, "were you born male?"
I answered affirmatively, and he said he would need to do a pat down. "I asked (pointing) can she do it?"
He called a (different) woman over. She was kind, asked if I want a private room. I said no and it was a simple pat down. For some reason they did ask me to remove my shoes after coming through security.
It was awkward but also not aggressive or intimidating.
Still need a bathroom though. Guess I'm waiting until we're airborne. 🛫
