Want to become a Motorcycle Mechanic

Hello,

I have been in engineering for 10 years, though nothing to do with motorcycles.

I have ridden off-road bikes for 20 years, raced Motocross for 10.

I have always prioritised riding as opposed to working on the bike, but naturally I have had to do the routine maintenance, as well as a couple of 2 stroke top end rebuilds, clutch plates replaced etc. I am currently going through a 250 4-stroke at a slower pace, as I am recovering from surgery.

What recommendations do you have for someone who wants to be a motorcycle mechanic (leaning towards off-road) who works full time also?
