Pain Management for Pre-SRS Hair Removal

I am beginning the early stages of SRS prep and am pretty sure I'll be going to Thailand for it. I am currently leaning towards Theerapong, though his hair removal requirements are, to put it bluntly, terrifying for me lol. It seems this is common for the Thai surgeons and something that's just generally a good idea to avoid issues later. So I'm hoping to find some info on what to ask my GP for pain management wise.

I have floated the idea of some low strength opioids alongside a heavy strength numbing cream (any recommendations on what ingredients to ask for are v much appreciated), but I'm wondering if anyone else who has been through this or is currently has any suggestions.

I am leaning towards electrolysis over laser since it seems to be the better option, though the pain really is something of a barrier for me :(
