How did the Mysterio reveal work regarding the forgetfulness spell?

Okay, in NWH the world thought Mysterio was a hero who Spider-Man allegedly killed (according to JJJ). However, before he died, he left evidence of Spidey's secret identity. How much did Strange's forgetfulness spell go regarding that evidence? Obviously, the general public has forgotten the reveal, but was he cleared of any charges related to Mysterio? The answer must be yes, or else the mayor's office wouldn't be giving Spidey the key to the city in BND!
