How to keep arrogance at bay as a doctor?
My apologies if this is a bit outside the scope of the posts here.
I have started to notice something as of late every since I got accepted into a good rads programme. Naturally I am happy about it, but I can't help to notice that sometimes I have a tendency to be a bit cocky and sometimes even arrogant. I knew I am argumentative, but since my latest "achievement" I feel that my ego has been a bit inflated.
HOW do you keep arrogance at bay? I firmly believe humility is essential in order to learn and to grow into a competent attending. Can you maybe share stories or examples of real humility and authenticity in truly learned people that you have encountered?
