Do not go into customers homes/apartments
This is just some advice for any new doordash drivers. If a customer is insistent on you coming into their home to delivery food or a grocery order….dont do it! Especially if the are young or middle aged and they have the ability to get their order from the door. Depending on the situation, I delivered to elderly people and disabled people before and they told me just the it on the floor in the doorway.
Just had this creepy experience with a customer, she was a middle aged woman that I was doing a shopping order for and while I was shopping, she was insisting that I bring the bags into her home and walk to her kitchen. I arrived to her home which looked really sketchy and she walks out, she looked like she hasn’t showered in days and she kept on insisting to come into her home with the bags, I told her no I have another order to deliver and I told her I could leave the bags on her porch. After I leave the last two bags on her porch, I looked up and I saw two men standing at the window staring at me. It creeped me out and I left as soon as possible.
Be careful out there and be aware of your surroundings!
