Rate limit still going on for 2 weeks?

Hi! I've recently tried setting a phone number on my discord account (after being asked to) and I think their rate limit has been ongoing for 2 weeks since my last attempt. Now, I don't mind, sure, maybe I've attempted numerous times in a short span of time before which caused that. And btw, this started back in June. I've taken a pause for a week before attempting again, only for it to fail, before I tried yet again after 2 weeks and it appears discord has zero plans on sending me a verification code. 

I'm just wondering how long should I wait this out because it seems bizzare they'll hand over such a long rate limit, though I've seen people here experience lengthy rate limits as well. And I've lost a bunch of contacts simply from this. It used to be that during the early days of discord just practically locking me out of my own account for this reason, I can still see my DMs, who messaged me and all, but I just cannot reply to anyone. Now, whenever I log back in, I simply get a glimpse of the many DMs I've received for a second before discord gives me the screen that asks me to enter a phone number, which again, even if I try, they will simply not send a code.

I've also tried contacting support but I think I'm just talking to a bot so... Not much help on that part either. This is really frustrating as I effectively just lost a bunch of contacts by losing access from my main account.
