How is singing supposed to feel?
My background: I've never been good at singing, I felt like singing wasn't really my thing growing up so naturally I don't have any experience but I've become interested in learning! Despite my lack of singing I grew up around music. I took piano lessons several times a week between the ages 8-13 and was actually talented for my age. However I'm in my 20's now, it's been like almost a decade so..
I been practising (by singing karaoke songs that fit my vocal chord heh) but I've noticed my voice sounds really cloudy/airy, like it's often hard for me to produce clear sound. I don't think I sound the worst since I can sing the right notes, but it sounds bit like humming even when I am singing loudly. And I feel like there's too much salive in my mouth... and something raspy in my throat when I sing.
How is singing supposed to feel especially in your throat/mouth? And do you recommend any exercises I could try to learn how to produce sound properly? Thank you for your advice :)
