🌾 A Place That’s Simply Allowed to be Itself
Right next to Alpbacherhof in Alpbach lies a 7,000 m² panoramic meadow – a place that has been intentionally left in its natural state.
It is neither fertilised nor intensively maintained and is mown only twice a year, each time after the flowering season. This allows native plants to self-seed naturally and preserve biodiversity. 🌼
To the meadow only a few resting spots and a barefoot trail have been added. Walking across natural materials like stones, pine cones and wood chips, you can experience the meadow with all your senses while taking in the surrounding mountain peaks, from Gratlspitz to Wiedersberger Horn. 🏔️
What we especially love is that nature is not only protected but also cherished: the hay from the meadow is used for hay baths in the spa and even for the hotel's own hay gin. Herbs and fruit from the hotel grounds also find their way into the kitchen.
For us, this place is a reminder that the most beautiful places are often the ones we altered as little as possible✨
Would a garden like this, left in its natural state, be a reason for you to choose a hotel?🌿

What makes a place feel truly peaceful?
