Status flipped from “RFE Was Mailed” to “Premium Processing Clock Was Stopped” 2 business days after we mailed the RFE response; has anyone seen this?

Trying not to spiral. Laying out the timeline as clearly as I can.
Background
• H-1B cos, filed by employer in premium processing
• IOE receipt number IOE0937########

Timeline
• 05/29/2026 - Petition filed, premium processing
• 06/04/2026 - Receipt notice
• 06/18/2026 - RFE issued. Status changed to “Request for Additional Evidence Was Mailed.” That’s what it showed for weeks.
• Friday, 07/24 (morning) - Attorney mailed the RFE response
• Tuesday, 07/28 - Checked with attorney/HR: as far as they knew, USCIS had not yet logged receipt of the response
• Tuesday, 07/28 - Status changed to “Premium Processing Clock Was Stopped For My Case,” dated July 28, 2026

What’s confusing me
. This feels like it went backwards in the sequence. It went from “RFE Was Mailed” to “Clock Was Stopped,” which is normally the message you get before the RFE message, not after.
. I never saw “Response To USCIS’ Request For Evidence Was Received.” It skipped straight past it.
. The date on the new message is July 28 not my original RFE date. So something touched the file that day.
. The message text is the generic template. It gives no reason at all, just says a notice was sent explaining why.

What I’m trying to figure out
• Has anyone had the clock-stop message appear after an RFE response was already mailed but before USCIS logged it? Was it a second RFE/NOID, or did it turn into an approval?
• Does the “Response Was Received” message actually get skipped often, or is its absence meaningful?
• Can the status page re-display the original clock-stop event with a refreshed date after a routine file action?

Timelines and outcomes especially appreciated. I know I need to wait for my attorney to check the documents in their account, but the waiting is rough and I’d like to know if this pattern is familiar to anyone.
