I went into Apple Hebbal store last week for my iPhone 13 battery issue (54% Health). It suddenly started expanding near the lock button. Seeing many posts that some iPhone 13 models have free replacement I took a chance and went in.

The store checked the phone and took 5 mins for basic diagnostics and declared its faulty and assured free battery replacement for my 4 year phone. Unfortunately battery wasn’t in stock so waited for 3-4 days. It seems only some iphone 13 models have this issue not all.

Went in again when stock was available and gave the phone for repair with estimated time of just 2 hours for the process. The technician called me and told during the repair they saw some spark near the display panel and told me I would get brand new iPhone 13 (same colour).

Ofcourse I was super happy to receive it only to see it was iOS26 which I never planned to update from my old iPhone’s ios18. Anyway will wait till sept for ios27 as I am not facing any issues and the phone is super smooth so far.

Glad things sorted without free of cost even though I wanted to upgrade the battery as current market situation for new phones are straight up horrible:)

Received new iPhone 13 instead of free battery replacement from Apple Hebbal
