Tire shop says they aren’t gonna rotate my tires
I rotate the tires on my infinity religiously when due. With this shop comes free tire rotations for life of the tire. But today they said they aren’t gonna rotate them because since it’s rear wheel drive and there is more tread on the rear, they are just gonna keep them there for now. Then I asked about how much life are left on those tires(because I know there is plenty) we hardly drive the car, 5 miles round trip to work, and we take my truck everywhere else as a family. I was told, about 5k miles of life left on them. But I had to pull that info out of the tech. So… honestly, I just can’t help but raise an eyebrow. Is it ok to not rotate tires one time around? Because I’m now just thinking it’s a tactic so that next time I come in, they are gonna say, “looks like your tires are not worn even, could use a set of new tires.” And this is just a way to prime the customer until the next visit. Idk, just doesn’t feel right to me. Just one of those feelings.
I apologize in advanced for my cynicism and skepticism, but I have experienced some dishonesty/stretching of the truth from certain places in the past.
What do y’all think?
