perception of ed’s to others
i just wanna know if any of this is relatable. i’ve been attempting recovery about five different times now, currently going on four months this specific time. i just feel like whenever i put on weight and stop looking sickly, everyone immediately thinks im fine and don’t have a problem, when really my mind hasn’t improved and i am still very much sick in my head. it’s so frustrating when people think ed’s have a look when someone can be weight restored and still have a raging ed. does any one have any advice on how to deal with this or can anyone relate to this feeling?
also, i feel like ed’s are looked at as so much less serious than what they actually are and im genuinely so tired of it. like i swear everyone thinks it’s just wanting to get skinny and look a certain way when it is just SOOO much more than that and something that i haven’t been able to recover from for basically all my life now. i do not open up about my struggles much because when i have in the past, i have experienced many say that it’s all for attention because they don’t understand the depth of the illness. once again, just wondering if anyone can relate or have any tips on how to deal with this type of thing because it’s really so invalidating i hate it.
